BYD launches ultra-fast Flash Charging network in Indonesia

BYD has announced its first international expansion of its proprietary ultra-fast ‘Flash Charging’ network, starting in Indonesia. The new infrastructure utilizes Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and features a world-first T-shaped suspended design. To enhance user experience, the network includes ‘Zero Gravity’ lightweight charging guns and Plug & Charge functionality.

In Indonesia, BYD will initially install these chargers at 10 Denza showrooms to allow for customer testing, with plans to expand to a broader public charging network by the end of the year.

Alongside the infrastructure announcement, BYD launched two new models under its premium brand, Denza: the D9 luxury MPV and the Z9GT high-performance electric shooting brake. Both vehicles utilize BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery technology. The D9 is the first to integrate the Flash Charging technology, targeting the business and family segments, while the Z9GT is built on the ‘e³’ platform to compete in the luxury electric GT market.
