BYD opens blind orders for second-generation Seal 07
BYD has officially opened blind orders for the second-generation Seal 07, as announced by Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of the BYD Ocean Network Sales Division. The blind ordering phase serves as an intention registration, allowing customers to secure priority production and delivery, as well as exclusive benefits, while maintaining the flexibility to adjust colors and configurations before the final order is locked.
The new model features a redesigned coupe-style exterior with a length exceeding 5 meters (5080mm), a width of 1960mm, and a wheelbase of 2960mm. The interior includes a floating central control screen, a liquid crystal instrument cluster, and a 20-speaker Devialet audio system. Front seats are upgraded to zero-gravity models equipped with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. Storage capacity is notable, with a 618L trunk and a 160L front trunk.
In terms of powertrain, the Seal 07 will be available in both pure electric and DM-i plug-in hybrid versions. The pure electric variants offer two power levels: a low-power version with a peak output of 245kW and a high-power version reaching 300kW. The DM-i hybrid version utilizes a 1.5T engine paired with a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor providing a peak power of 160kW.
