BYD expands electric vehicle lineup with new Tang EV and M6 models

BYD is advancing its electric vehicle portfolio with several new model reveals and infrastructure expansions. The third-generation Tang EV, a flagship five-seat SUV, has been detailed in regulatory filings. It features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 690 horsepower and is equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery. This model utilizes Flash Charging technology, capable of charging from 10% to 70% in five minutes, with driving ranges reaching up to 850 km.

In Indonesia, BYD is preparing to launch the M6 EV, which also features the second-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging capabilities. To support its growing presence in the region, Arista Group has inaugurated 20 new BYD and DANZA dealerships across Java, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan. These facilities include advanced 1,500 kW Flash Charging infrastructure to support the increasing adoption of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs).

Additionally, BYD is targeting the Brazilian market with the upcoming Dolphin GT, a plug-in hybrid expected in February 2027. This model is anticipated to feature flex-fuel compatibility, combining a 1.5L engine with electric propulsion to offer high efficiency and extended range.
