BYD reduces Dolphin electric hatchback prices in Australia and Brazil

BYD is implementing price reductions and specialized pricing structures for its Dolphin electric hatchback in different global markets.

In Australia, BYD has slashed the driveaway price of the base Dolphin Essential model to $28,888, representing a saving of over $4,400. This offer is valid for orders placed by December 15, 2026, with delivery required before the end of the year. The Essential variant features a 70 kW motor and a 44.9 kWh battery providing up to 340 km of WLTP range. The more expensive Premium variant offers a 150 kW motor and a 60.48 kWh battery with a range of up to 427 km.

In Brazil, the BYD Dolphin Mini is available through specialized tax exemption programs for individuals with disabilities. For qualified buyers, the Dolphin Mini GL price can drop to R$ 107,990 after combining federal and state tax exemptions, a reduction of R$ 11,000 from the standard R$ 118,990 retail price. The Dolphin Mini GL is equipped with a 30 kWh battery and an electric motor generating 75 horsepower.
