BYD rolls out Denza Z electric supercar and ultra‑fast flash charger

Chinese automaker BYD unveiled the production version of its Denza Z electric sports car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. The 2+2 Z Coupe is claimed to deliver up to 1,179 kW and reach a top speed of 350 km/h, positioning it against the Porsche 911 Turbo. A more track‑focused Z Racing variant will also be shown, while BYD highlighted its broader line‑up across the BYD, Denza and Yangwang brands.

In a separate pre‑launch demonstration, BYD’s new Flash Charging station was shown to recharge an electric vehicle from 10 % to 97 % in about nine minutes. The demo, shared on TikTok, emphasized the potential to make public charging stops comparable to brief gasoline refuels. BYD plans to install up to 3,000 of these fast‑charging locations across Europe by the end of 2027.
