BYD unveils Da Han sedan with up to 1,008 km range

BYD has launched the Da Han, a flagship electric sedan that sits above the company's Han model in its Dynasty series. The vehicle will be formally presented at the Chengdu Auto Show scheduled for 21‑30 August after receiving MIIT homologation. It is offered in three fully‑electric variants and a plug‑in hybrid version.

The top electric version is equipped with a 102.3 kWh LFP battery and an all‑wheel‑drive powertrain delivering 764 hp (570 kW). BYD claims a CLTC range of up to 1,008 km, with the AWD model maintaining between 820‑880 km under the same cycle. The car features ultra‑fast charging capable of up to 1 MW, allowing roughly 400 km of range to be restored in five minutes. Dimensions are 5,256 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, 1,510 mm high with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, placing it slightly longer than a Mercedes‑S Class.
