BYD unveils Denza Z sports car and Da Han flagship electric sedan
Chinese automaker BYD has been spotted testing its upcoming Denza Z electric sports car, a two‑door coupe with a tri‑motor powertrain delivering over 700 kW. The production‑ready prototype, photographed in a BYD facility, features a matte black finish, aggressive front styling and a large rear spoiler. BYD claims the Z can accelerate from 0‑100 km/h in under two seconds, positioning it as a high‑performance EV.
In a separate reveal, BYD released the first images of the Da Han, a D‑segment luxury electric sedan that will join the Da Tang SUV in the brand’s Dynasty lineup. The Da Han will use BYD’s new Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash‑Charging technology capable of charging from 10 % to 70 % in five minutes. The model is slated for launch in the third quarter and will be offered with pure‑electric and plug‑in‑hybrid powertrains. Both vehicles underscore BYD’s push to expand its premium EV portfolio globally.
