BYD unveils Great Han luxury electric sedan with 1,008 km range
Chinese automaker BYD released new sketch images of its upcoming flagship sedan, the Great Han. The drawings show a long, coupe‑style body with horizontal LED daytime running lights, a silver‑finished front grille, and a clean bumper design that incorporates air intakes for brake cooling. The model will be the largest in BYD’s Han series, surpassing the current Han and Han L variants, and is expected to debut in the Chinese market.
The Great Han is positioned as a premium electric limousine targeting the high‑end segment. According to BYD, the top version will achieve a CLTC‑tested range of about 1,008 km, thanks to the ninth‑generation Blade Battery, improved aerodynamics, and next‑generation electric motors. The vehicle will also feature a high‑quality interior with large digital displays, advanced charging infrastructure capable of very high power input, and a suite of digital services aimed at competing with European and American luxury EV makers.
