BYD unveils second-generation Seal 07 sedan
BYD has unveiled official images of the second-generation Seal 07 sedan, a model that features significantly larger dimensions and increased performance compared to the version launched only seven months ago. The new sedan measures 5,080 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. This represents an increase of 85 mm in length, 50 mm in width, and 60 mm in wheelbase over the previous model.
The vehicle adopts the latest visual language of BYD’s Ocean lineup, featuring a sharper front end, redesigned daytime running lights, semi-concealed door handles, and a full-width rear light bar. Official images also show a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof.
In terms of performance, the electric variants will offer peak motor outputs of 245 kW and 300 kW, both of which exceed the 240 kW motor found in the earlier model. These versions will utilize lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with capacities reported between 76.7 kWh and 88.7 kWh. The highest-range configuration is expected to reach up to 875 km according to the Chinese CLTC cycle, with a top speed of 240 km/h. The new generation will be available in both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
