BYD updates Dolphin Surf electric model in Greece
BYD has announced updates to the Dolphin Surf, its most affordable all-electric model in the European market. The model has seen significant success in Greece, where it was the best-selling electric vehicle between January and August 2026.
The updated lineup includes three versions: Active, Boost, and Comfort. Key technological improvements focus on the infotainment system, particularly in the top-tier Comfort edition, which now features a 12.8-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, providing integrated access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store. The digital instrument cluster in the Comfort trim has also increased from 7 to 8.8 inches.
Ergonomic changes include moving the gear selector from the dashboard to the steering column and introducing a redesigned steering wheel. The Boost and Comfort trims feature heated steering wheels, while the Boost trim now includes heated front seats. Automatic climate control is now standard across all versions.
Technical specifications vary by trim. The Active version utilizes a 30 kWh Blade Battery with an 89 hp motor, offering a WLTP range of 220 km. The Boost version features a larger 43.2 kWh battery, providing a maximum WLTP range of 322 km. Prices for the model start at 17,990 euros, factoring in current promotional offers and state subsidies.
