Bydgoszcz official investigated for misuse of authority

The District Prosecutor's Office in Bydgoszcz has launched an investigation into a former official from the Communication Qualifications Department of the Bydgoszcz City Hall. The investigation follows a notification filed by Mayor Rafał Bruski.

The official is suspected of exceeding her authority to achieve financial gain and misappropriating funds. According to reports, the secretary allegedly used city resources to send clothing and accessories for items sold online over a period of 10 years. Customers reportedly received these items in envelopes bearing the official city seal.

Estimated losses are approximately 2,100 PLN. The official is no longer employed by the Bydgoszcz City Hall. Investigators are currently reviewing nearly 90,000 system entries, 72 logbooks, and a decade's worth of correspondence to gather evidence.
