Bydgoszcz to install specialized e-waste containers
Bydgoszcz is expanding its waste management infrastructure by preparing to install 60 specialized containers, known as ‘elektropaki’, across residential estates. These color-coded bins are designed for small electronic waste, such as batteries, light bulbs, chargers, and small electronics. The initiative aims to increase the efficiency of collecting e-waste and is expected to be operational by late 2024, following a 100-day implementation period after contract signing.
The city is also working on its fourth stationary Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point (PSZOK). These efforts align with recommendations from the Ministry of Climate and Environment to improve municipal waste management through specialized collection solutions.
