BYD's Denza brand launches D9 luxury MPV and Z9S electric sedan
BYD's premium brand, Denza, is expanding its lineup with the launch of two new models: the D9 luxury MPV and the Z9S electric sedan.
In the United Kingdom, Denza has opened orders for the D9, a 7-seater plug-in hybrid (PHEV) designed to compete with the Lexus LM and Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Priced from £75,000, the D9 features a 1.5L turbo engine paired with dual electric motors and a 58.5kWh battery, offering an electric range of up to 210km. It utilizes BYD's "Flash" ultra-fast charging technology, capable of charging from 10% to 70% in five minutes.
Additionally, the Denza Z9S electric sedan has begun accepting pre-orders. The Z9S offers various performance configurations, with a high-end three-motor version producing up to 890 kW and achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.68 seconds. Depending on the battery configuration, the Z9S provides a range of up to 1,100 km (CLTC). The vehicle is equipped with LiDAR-supported autonomous driving technology and utilizes BYD's second-generation Blade Battery.
