Byeolnan Living Culture Festival to be held in Paju

The 2026 Byeolnan Living Culture Festival is scheduled to take place on the 12th at the Byeolnan Reading Culture Experience Center in Beobwon-eup, Paju. Organized as part of the 2026 Gyeonggi Northern Regional Culture Specialization Support Project, the event aims to facilitate exchange between local residents and artists.

The festival will feature various performances and exhibitions showcasing community activities in areas such as choral singing, traditional percussion (pungmul), and fine arts. Scheduled performances include the Nilhouse Band, the Byeolmo-rae Art Troupe, the Aria cheerleading team, and the Da Vinci Project jazz band. Additionally, art and craft works created during local classes will be exhibited at the Geumgok Small Library and teaching buildings.

The venue, the Byeolnan Reading Culture Experience Center, is a complex cultural space established in a former elementary school. The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation intends for the festival to serve as a foundation for continuous interaction between residents and artists rather than a one-time event.
