Byron Donalds campaign hits 2 million doors knocked as Ken Griffin donates $5 million
Republican U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds has announced that his Florida gubernatorial campaign has surpassed two million doors knocked, a milestone his team describes as the largest ground canvassing effort in state history. With eight days remaining before the November 3 election, the campaign is focusing on property insurance premiums, property tax relief, and economic policies.
In a significant financial boost, billionaire Ken Griffin has contributed an additional $5 million to the Friends of Byron PAC. This brings Griffin’s total support for the Naples congressman’s political operation to $15 million. The donation comes as recent polling shows a tightening race between Donalds and Democratic nominee David Jolly, with a University of North Florida poll placing Donalds at 49% and Jolly at 47%.
Donalds, who holds endorsements from Donald Trump and outgoing Governor Ron DeSantis, is campaigning on school choice and pro-business platforms. Jolly, a former Republican congressman, has centered his campaign on housing affordability, healthcare access, and public education investment.
