Bystrzyca hosts Lower Silesian Provincial Harvest Festival

The Oława municipality hosted the Lower Silesian Provincial Harvest Festival (Dożynki Wojewódzkie) in Bystrzyca for the first time on September 5, 2026. The event brought together thousands of residents, farmers, and government officials to celebrate the annual harvest.

Key attendees included Lower Silesian Voivode Anna Żabska, Deputy Voivode Agnieszka Miza, Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Michał Jaros, and Marshal Paweł Gancarz. The festival's international scope was marked by the presence of consuls general from Germany and Ukraine, as well as delegations from the Czech Republic, Thuringia in Germany, and Gyeonggi Province in South Korea.

Following a ceremonial mass, the festivities included a traditional bread-sharing ceremony and a competition for the most beautiful harvest wreaths. The winners were representatives from Czadrow (1st place), Łagów (2nd place), and Chwalibożyce (3rd place). Additional attractions featured tractor racing, folk music performances, and concerts by Reni Jusis and Zakopower.
