Bystrzyca Kłodzka swimming pool reopening delayed until 2028

The reopening of the historic outdoor swimming pool in Bystrzyca Kłodzka has been delayed. While previous estimates suggested the facility could be operational by the 2027 season, Mayor Renata Surma now indicates that 2028 is the most likely timeframe for completion.

Located on Góra Parkowa near Floriańska Street, the complex has been closed since 2019 due to its poor technical condition. The facility, which dates back to 1937, includes a large 50 by 15-meter basin, a smaller basin, and various sanitary infrastructure.

To manage high modernization costs, the local government has shifted toward a simplified investment plan. This approach includes using containers for changing rooms, toilets, and showers rather than constructing new permanent buildings. Key challenges include securing necessary funding, completing administrative procedures, and installing a water treatment station. The Mayor has discussed potential funding options with Jan Szyszko from the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
