Bytom students collect 18.5 tons of waste in eco-campaign
Students from 36 schools and kindergartens in Bytom collected nearly 18.5 tons of waste during the ‘Bytom jest eko’ campaign for the 2025/2026 school year. The initiative aimed to encourage young residents to segregate recyclable materials.
The total collection included 15.60 tons of paper, 0.64 tons of PET plastic bottles, and 2.15 tons of batteries. Participating institutions included 16 kindergartens, 13 primary schools, and seven secondary schools.
Top honors for ‘Segregation Leader’ were awarded to Municipal Kindergarten No. 24, Primary School No. 33, and Technical School No. 4. All participating facilities received certificates of participation.
