BYU football enters national top 10 in major polls

Following a weekend of college football action, BYU has entered the top 10 in both the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 and the AFCA Coaches Poll. After a 41-23 victory over Colorado State, the Cougars rose to No. 9 in the AP rankings and No. 9 in the AFCA poll.

In the AP Top 25, Texas remains No. 1, followed by Georgia at No. 2 and Notre Dame at No. 3. Ole Miss is expected to climb the rankings after a narrow victory over No. 7 LSU, secured by a fourth-quarter touchdown and two-point conversion. Conversely, LSU fell to No. 10 in the AP poll.

Other notable movements include Texas Tech rising to No. 10 in the AFCA poll. Several ranked teams, including Texas A&M, SMU, Houston, and Virginia, are expected to drop in the standings following losses this weekend.
