BYU football offense leads first 2026 fall camp scrimmage

The BYU football offense earned a slight advantage during the program’s first scrimmage of the 2026 fall camp at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Head coach Kalani Sitake described the 102-play session as a mix of “live” plays and “thud” contact plays.

Sitake noted that the offense produced more big plays than the defense, specifically praising the performance of the receivers, tight ends, and running backs. Key standouts included Snow College transfer Reggie Frischknecht, who caught multiple touchdown passes, and true freshman Devaughn Eka, who recorded a highlight touchdown run.

Quarterback Bear Bachmeier was credited by Sitake for his leadership and ability to distribute the ball effectively. While the scrimmage was closed to the media, the coaching staff highlighted the successful timing between the offensive line, quarterbacks, and skill players.
