BYU volleyball sweeps Boise State in three sets
No. 25 BYU women’s volleyball defeated Boise State in a three-set sweep (25-12, 25-15, 26-24) at ExtraMile Arena on Tuesday night. The Cougars improved to a 4-1 record, while the Broncos fell to 3-4.
BYU dominated the first two sets, hitting .400 compared to Boise State’s .155. Claire Little Chambers led the Cougars with 12 kills, supported by Elli Mortensen with 10 kills. The Cougars also out-blocked the Broncos nine to five.
Boise State mounted a late challenge in the third set, tying the score at 23-23 behind an offensive push from Sydney Dreves, Amelia Hansen, and freshman Azlynn Tittmann. However, BYU managed to clinch the set 26-24 to secure the victory. Tittmann led the Broncos with 10 kills.
