Byzantine hymn recordings completed in Edirne and Constantinople

The cultural initiative ‘Psaltiki Apichema’ has successfully completed video recordings of selected Byzantine hymns. Conducted under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture, the project aims to highlight the universal value of Psaltic Art, which is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Led by conductor Chrysa Tasolamprou, the Female Byzantine Choir ‘Agia Skepi’ performed in several historic locations, including the Bulgarian Orthodox Church of St. George in Edirne, Turkey, and the Church of the Panagia Blachernae in Constantinople. The mission received official authorization from the Bulgarian Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as the blessing of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
