Byzantine Museum of Veria receives Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award

The Byzantine Museum of Veria has been awarded the 2026 Travellers’ Choice award by the travel platform Tripadvisor. This distinction is granted annually to listings, such as attractions and activities, that consistently receive positive reviews from visitors over the previous twelve months. Awarded entries represent the top 10% of listings on the platform that meet the specified criteria.

In addition to its permanent collection, the museum hosts periodic exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events focused on Byzantine and post-Byzantine art. The Ephorate of Antiquities of Imathia has implemented various initiatives to support the museum, including art exhibitions by local creators, educational programs for school groups, and thematic lectures. The museum also engages in international collaborations, such as the ‘Art for Learning’ program conducted with the University of Granada in Spain.
