C-Care marks 30 years in Uganda and announces East African expansion
C-Care, a major private healthcare network, is marking 30 years of operations in Uganda. During its third annual Excellence Awards held at the Munyonyo Convention Centre, the organization recognized top-performing facilities, naming C-Care Gulu as Hospital of the Year and C-Care Nansana as Clinic of the Year.
Building on its three decades of growth from a single facility to a network serving nearly 700,000 patients annually, C-Care announced plans for regional expansion. Chief Executive Officer Azhar Sundhoo stated that the company intends to leverage its Ugandan experience to enter new East African markets, specifically targeting Kenya and Rwanda. Sundhoo indicated that Kenya is expected to be the next market for the provider within the next two years.
The celebration also honored the organization’s founder, Dr. Ian Clarke, and highlighted the company's goal to raise the standard of healthcare across the region.
