C. H. Robinson appoints Valerie Capers Workman as Chief Human Resources Officer

C. H. Robinson has named Valerie Capers Workman as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective November 16, 2026. Workman, who previously held leadership roles at Tesla and Empower Pharmacy, succeeds Angie Freeman, who is retiring at the end of 2026 after nearly 30 years with the company.

The leadership transition coincides with the logistics provider’s ongoing organizational transformation and its Lean AI strategy. As part of the restructuring, the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) function will transition to the responsibility of the legal department under Chief Legal Officer Dorothy Capers.

In her new role, Workman will oversee global human resources, including talent management, leadership development, and workforce capabilities. CEO Dave Bozeman stated that the company’s transformation aims to integrate advanced technology while fundamentally changing how employees work and serve customers.
