Cà Mau hosts special flag-raising ceremony with record-breaking national flag

On September 2, 2026, a special flag-raising ceremony was held at the Hà Nội Flagpole - Mũi Cà Mau in Cà Mau Province to celebrate the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's National Day. The event was attended by nearly 1,500 participants, including officials, soldiers, students, and local residents.

The ceremony featured the hoisting of a massive national flag measuring 2,025 square meters (60m long and 33.75m wide) and weighing approximately 320kg. Designed by SG Chien Thang Import Export Trading Service Investment JSC using ultra-durable fabric, the flag has been part of a ‘Trans-Vietnam Journey’ (2025–2027) to foster national pride.

During the event, the Vietnam Record Organization (Vietkings) officially recognized the flag as the ‘Largest Fabric National Flag in Vietnam’ and presented the certificate and insignia to the Cà Mau Provincial People's Committee. Following its appearance in Cà Mau, the flag will continue to visit various historical sites across the country before being permanently displayed at the Mũi Cà Mau National Park by the end of 2027.
