Cỏ Mềm and SRD expand native forest restoration project

Cỏ Mềm and the Sustainable Rural Development Center (SRD) have signed a strategic cooperation memorandum for the 2026–2029 period to expand the ‘Rừng An Lành’ (Peaceful Forest) project. The partnership aims to restore an additional 6 hectares of native forest, bringing the project's cumulative total to approximately 16 hectares and 16,000 native trees by 2029.

Initiated in 2022, the project has already planted over 12,000 trees across 12 hectares in Ninh Thuận and Sơn La. The initiative focuses on restoring ecosystems, protecting water sources, reducing soil erosion, and supporting local community livelihoods through a collaborative model involving businesses, technical experts, local authorities, and residents.

Trịnh Đặng Thuận Thảo, founder of Cỏ Mềm, stated that the commitment to sustainable development and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles is a long-term path for the company. As a member of the Vietnam Business for Environment (VB4E) alliance initiated by IUCN Vietnam, the collaboration with SRD allows for more professional forest restoration and access to international conservation expertise.
