C3A hosts ‘Ciudad de quién’ exhibition in Córdoba

The Centro de Creación Contemporánea de Andalucía (C3A) is celebrating its eleventh anniversary with the exhibition ‘Ciudad de quién’. The showcase features approximately one hundred pieces that explore the historical and social construction of Córdoba.

Curated by Gilberto González and Lola Baena, the exhibition avoids a linear chronology, instead moving between symbolic, historical, mythical, and social themes. The collection spans a vast timeline, including a mask of the god Pan from the 1st century, a 17th-century statue of San Rafael, and contemporary works by artists such as Pilar Monsell and Fernando Vacas.

The exhibition aims to provide a critical perspective on the city, addressing its complex historical layers and moving beyond traditional imagery of Córdoba.
