CA Brive names three captains as Gregory Patat starts his tenure

Gregory Patat, appointed manager of CA Brive in June, announced a new leadership structure ahead of the 2024‑25 Pro D2 season. He replaced former captain Anthony Coletta with a trio of experienced players: Irish centre Stuart Olding, back‑row forward Sasha Gué and full‑back Julien Tisseron.

The club opened its pre‑season on Friday with a friendly against Colomiers in Périgueux, a match moved to an alternate field after the main pitch was weakened by recent drought. Patat said the game would serve as a review of the squad and a test of the new playing identity. A second friendly against Racing 92 is scheduled for 21 August in Objat before the league campaign begins on 28 August against Valence‑Romans.
