Caá Catí to host 10th Provincial Buffalo Festival
The Corrientes provincial government has officially launched the 10th Provincial Buffalo Festival, scheduled to take place on November 6 and 7 in Caá Catí. The event aims to strengthen the buffalo industry through technical training, livestock auctions, product promotion, and gastronomic activities.
During the launch, Production Minister Walter Chavez noted that Corrientes has become the province with the highest number of buffalo in Argentina. The festival is designed to support the entire productive chain, fostering cooperation between the public and private sectors to boost regional tourism and economic development.
The President of the Argentine Association of Buffalo Breeders highlighted significant growth in the species over the last decade, particularly in the General Paz department, which serves as a strategic hub for buffalo reproduction and holds the largest concentration of buffalo wombs in the province.
