Ca Mau launches high-intensity drive for major transport projects

Major infrastructure projects in Ca Mau province, Vietnam, have entered a high-intensity construction phase. Three key projects—the Ca Mau-Cai Nuoc expressway, the Cai Nuoc-Dat Mui expressway, and the road to Hon Khoai Island—have a combined length of nearly 100 km and a total investment exceeding 74,000 billion VND.

The road to Hon Khoai Island is highlighted as a strategic sea-crossing project, expected to be the longest in Vietnam. It aims to enhance maritime logistics, seaport infrastructure, and national defense in the Southwest sea region. Construction involves complex tasks, including bored piles at depths exceeding 100 meters.

Binh doan 12 is leading the construction efforts. Major General Nguyen Huu Ngoc announced a high-intensity emulation period running from October 17 to December 31, targeting a production value of 7,400 billion VND across the three projects. Despite harsh weather conditions and high salinity, workers are maintaining a continuous three-shift, four-team schedule to meet progress goals.
