Ca Mau Airport to resume commercial flights in late November 2026

Ca Mau Airport is scheduled to resume commercial flight operations on November 29, 2026. Vietnam Airlines will operate the Ca Mau-Ho Chi Minh City route and its return leg using Airbus A321 aircraft. Flights are expected to run daily, with ticket prices ranging from 924,000 to 964,000 VND per trip.

To prepare for the resumption, the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) has conducted calibration flights to test radar systems. Technical inspections confirmed that secondary radar stations meet safety standards and comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recommendations.

The airport is currently undergoing a major upgrade and expansion project to reach 4C classification, allowing it to accommodate Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Local authorities and the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) are also exploring additional domestic routes, such as connections to Hanoi. By 2050, the airport aims to reach a capacity of 3 million passengers and 3,000 tons of cargo annually to boost regional tourism, trade, and investment.
