Ca Mau approves nearly 4,867 billion VND for major road projects
The Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee has approved two major road infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and economic development through significant public investment.
The first project involves a 42.3km road connecting National Highway 63, Ring Road 2, Vo Van Kiet, DT984, and U Minh. With a total investment exceeding 1,867 billion VND, the project includes construction costs of over 1,390.8 billion VND and compensation/resettlement costs of approximately 239.6 billion VND. The route will pass through An Xuyen ward and several communes, including Ho Thi Ky and Khanh An, featuring modern drainage, lighting, and safety systems.
The second project is a larger-scale initiative with an investment of nearly 3,000 billion VND to construct a 50km route connecting Phung Hiep Highway, the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, and the coastal road at Song Doc. This project includes the construction of several new bridges and the expansion of existing roads. It utilizes approximately 160.67 hectares of land and will pass through Tan Thanh, An Xuyen, and six other communes. Funding for both projects will be drawn from central government support and the Ca Mau provincial budget under medium-term public investment plans.
