Ca Mau Border Guard strengthens national defense and community support
In Ca Mau province, the Border Guard is playing a central role in strengthening national defense and community ties in the country's southernmost region. Local authorities highlight the strategic importance of the area, which features a 254 km coastline and key island clusters like Hon Khoai and Hon Chuoi. Development projects, including the Ca Mau – Dat Mui expressway and upgrades to the Ca Mau airport and logistics systems, are underway to boost the maritime economy and secure sovereignty.
To support local development and social stability, the Ca Mau Border Guard is also actively engaging in community welfare. During the recent school year opening, the unit distributed 55 scholarships, bicycles, and various school supplies to disadvantaged students in coastal and island areas. These initiatives, such as the “Nâng bước em đến trường” (Supporting students to school) program, aim to prevent school dropouts and foster growth in border communities.
