Ca Mau launches 45-day intensive health screening campaign

Ca Mau province has launched a 45-day intensive campaign to accelerate periodic health check-ups and screenings for its residents. The initiative was officially kicked off in Hoa Binh commune through a collaboration between the Ca Mau Department of Health and Le Van Thinh Hospital from Ho Chi Minh City.

According to local health authorities, over 80% of the province's population has already received periodic health examinations. The provincial government aims to complete comprehensive health screenings for all residents by October 2026. During the launch event, medical teams provided free examinations, consultations, and medicine to 300 participants.

Local residents noted that the initiative significantly reduces the time and physical strain required for elderly citizens to access medical services, as screenings are being conducted directly within their communities rather than requiring travel to larger, more crowded hospitals.
