Ca Mau province approves 3.9 trillion VND wind power project

The Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee has approved the investment policy for the Ngoc Hien - Tam Giang Tay wind power plant project. The project has a total investment value exceeding 3.9 trillion VND, with the investor contributing 786.4 billion VND (20%) and the remaining 80% to be mobilized.

The wind farm is designed with a capacity of 100MW and will be located across the communes of Tan An, Tam Giang, Nam Can, and Dat Moi. The technical infrastructure includes the installation of 12 wind turbines, each with a capacity of approximately 8.5MW, supported by a 35kV underground cable system, a 220kV transformer station, and a 24km double-circuit 220kV line.

The project aims to produce, transmit, and distribute electricity from renewable sources to ensure energy security and support local socio-economic development. The operational term is set for 50 years, with a target timeline of 36 months to reach operational goals following the selection of an investor.
