Ca Mau seeks to establish 13 new wards following Ministry survey

An interdisciplinary working group from the Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Deputy Minister Truong Hai Long, recently conducted a field survey in Ca Mau province regarding a proposal to establish 13 new wards.

The proposed wards include Song Doc, Nam Can, Ganh Hao, Hoa Binh, Cai Nuoc, Dam Doi, Thoi Binh, Tran Van Thoi, Phuoc Long, Hong Dan, Vinh Loi, Luong The Tran, and Cai Doi Vam. These areas are considered strategically important for the province's spatial development, intended to form growth centers and connection hubs.

While the survey indicated that most of the 13 communes meet the basic criteria for ward status, some areas still fall short in specific categories such as population scale, location, and functional roles. The Ministry has requested that Ca Mau province refine its documentation, ensure data consistency across all reports, and provide clearer justifications for the characteristics and functions of each locality to ensure effective future urban management.
