CA Osasuna faces setback in Álex Lizancos transfer

CA Osasuna's pursuit of right-back Álex Lizancos from Burgos CF has faced a setback after the player reportedly failed a medical examination in Pamplona. Medical services identified irregularities in his left knee following a meniscus operation performed in early August.

While initial reports suggested the injury might not prevent the transfer, the failed medical has left the deal in limbo. This development has forced Osasuna to reconsider Andoni Gorosabel as a primary solution for the right-back position. Gorosabel, currently with Athletic Club, has become a central figure in the club's transfer plans as the market deadline approaches.

Osasuna had previously reached an agreement on the transfer fee with Burgos CF, and manager Luis Miguel Ramis had strongly supported the move. The club is currently looking for defensive reinforcements following the injury to Rosier and the emergence of youth players in the position.
