Caacupé solidarity festival draws thousands for Hugo Javier
A solidarity festival titled ‘Todos al Atake por Hugo Javier’ drew a large crowd to the Lagorã Recreational Park in Caacupé. The event was organized to raise funds for Hugo Javier González, the former governor of Central, who was convicted of breach of trust.
Official ticket sales through the Red Ámbar system reached 10,000 entries. However, organizers estimated that the total attendance, including those who entered the grounds without tickets and those watching from nearby vehicles, fluctuated between 20,000 and 30,000 people during peak moments. Approximately 15,000 people were estimated to be within the park premises, including staff, vendors, and artists.
The musical lineup featured various artists, including Las Paraguayas, Shakiro, Meketrefes, and others. Due to long queues and intense heat, organizers opened the gates an hour earlier than scheduled to accommodate the crowd.
