Cañada Rosal receives 8.5 million euro grant for flood prevention

The Cañada Rosal City Council has secured an 8.5 million euro grant from the central government, the largest subsidy in the municipality's history. The funds are designated for strategic projects aimed at preventing floods and modernizing local infrastructure.

Mayor Rodrigo Rodríguez Hans stated that the majority of the investment will target flood prevention in El Lagar, Arroyo Palomo, and Arroyo de la Garrida. The primary goal is to ensure citizen safety and prevent the town from becoming isolated due to road closures during heavy rainfall.

In addition to hydraulic works, the project includes a significant allocation for the agricultural sector. This involves the comprehensive remodeling of several rural roads, including Mochalejo, Segismundo, El Arroyo Palomo, Suerte Siria, Molino Quiñones, and Quiñón, as well as improvements to rural bridges.
