Caçador traffic accident leads to firearm seizure
A collision between a Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck and a Mercedes-Benz Axor truck occurred on the SC-350 highway in Caçador during the early hours of Sunday.
According to the Military Highway Police (PMRv), the L200 crossed into the opposite lane and struck the rear wheel of the trailer attached to the truck. The 30-year-old driver of the pickup was injured and taken to the hospital.
During the response, officers discovered a 12-gauge shotgun and seven intact rounds of ammunition inside the pickup truck. The firearm and ammunition were seized and handed over to the State Highway Police for further legal procedures.
