Cabaret Vert festival announces socially engaged cinema program

L’IDéal Cinéma has announced its programming for the Cabaret Vert festival, taking place in Charleville-Mézières from August 20 to 23. Under the theme of “Alliances,” the cinematic program will feature films, debates, and meetings focused on major societal issues.

Key topics include disability rights, industrial pollution, and armed conflicts. The schedule includes an inclusive screening of thirteen short films regarding disability, as well as screenings of “Erin Brockovich” and “Dark Waters” to address the impact of industrial pollutants like PFAS. Additionally, the program will feature documentaries concerning the conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine, including the film “Mister Nobody contre Poutine,” which examines Russian propaganda.
