Cabedelo Mayor Evilásio Cavalcanti implements contract and personnel changes

As he approaches his first 100 days in office, Cabedelo Mayor Evilásio Cavalcanti is implementing a series of administrative changes described by allies as a ‘cleaning’ of municipal contracts and personnel.

Cavalcanti has terminated contracts with labor supply companies Lemon and Avlis, both of which are under investigation by the Federal Police and Gaeco. Additionally, the administration has replaced the city's waste collection provider with a company offering newer technology and equipment.

The mayor is also distancing himself from former political allies, including former mayors Edvaldo Neto and Vítor Hugo. These shifts have impacted the local City Council, where Councilman Fernando Sobrinho, a figure linked to the former mayors, saw all his appointed municipal positions removed.
