Cabildo de La Gomera launches citizen participation for equality plan

The Cabildo de La Gomera has announced four thematic citizen participation sessions to assist in the development of the Strategic Plan for Equality and Gender Policies for the 2027-2030 period. These meetings, scheduled between October 19 and 21, will take place in Vallehermoso, San Sebastián de La Gomera, Valle Gran Rey, and Hermigua.

The initiative aims to gather proposals and identify specific needs from the population, social collectives, and professionals. The discussions will focus on two primary areas: care and co-responsibility—addressing work-life balance and the distribution of domestic duties—and political participation, education, and youth.

Casimiro Curbelo, president of the Cabildo de La Gomera, stated that the sessions will allow the administration to understand the specific needs and proposals of various sectors of society and account for the particularities of each municipality.
