Cabildo de Tenerife awards 8.1 million euro contract for La Laguna bus station reform

The Cabildo de Tenerife has awarded a contract for the comprehensive reform of the La Laguna Transport Interchange to the UTE COBRA Infraestructuras Hidráulicas-IMESAPI. The project, valued at over 8.1 million euros, follows a competitive process involving eight bids.

President Rosa Dávila stated that the modernization is necessary to accommodate the significant growth in public transport demand. Since the station opened in 2011, the TITSA network has grown from serving 39 million passengers annually to over 87 million.

The winning proposal includes technical improvements such as an extended three-year warranty and the installation of an artificial intelligence-based accessibility system designed for individuals with hearing impairments.
