Cabildo de Tenerife launches one-million-euro Tenerife Accelera Fund

The Cabildo de Tenerife has held an information session for entrepreneurs and companies to explain the access requirements for the Tenerife Accelera Fund. This public-private investment instrument is initially endowed with one million euros and is designed to facilitate financing for innovative companies based on the island.

Unlike traditional subsidies, the fund operates on a fund-of-funds model. The Cabildo acts as an institutional investor in venture capital entities supervised by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). These entities are responsible for evaluating projects and making investment decisions. Archipiélago Next Ventures SGEIC, S. A. has been identified as the managing entity for the program.

Investments will target eight strategic areas: astrophysics, space and aeronautics; audiovisual and creative industries; connectivity; digitalization and artificial intelligence; the blue economy; energy; health and biotechnology; and sustainability. To participate, companies must provide matching contributions alongside the Cabildo’s investment and commit to maintaining their economic activity on the island.
