Cabildo of Tenerife launches third artisanal showcase in Taganana and fourth 'Patrona de Canarias' craft fair in Candela

The Cabildo of Tenerife organized the third III Muestra de Oficios Artesanos in Taganana on 25 July, featuring practical workshops on traditional Canarian clothing, oral‑history sessions and cultural performances. Councillor for Employment and Education Efraín Medina highlighted the event as a step to preserve the island’s sartorial identity and transmit artisanal knowledge to younger generations.

Later in the month, the Cabildo partnered with Candelaria Town Hall to present the fourth Patrona de Canarias Craft Fair from 31 July to 2 August in Plaza de los Pescadores. The fair displayed the work of about 20 artisans across 13 craft categories, including woodworking, ceramics and textile decoration. Mayor Mari Brito stressed the fair’s role in linking local festivals and reinforcing cultural ties for residents and tourists alike.
