Cable and Water Meter Thefts Caught on Cameras in Ibagué, Trujillo

Security cameras recorded a young man attempting to steal cables from a house in the Arkalá neighbourhood of Ibagué, Colombia. The footage shows the suspect in a white T‑shirt and grey shorts using pliers to try to cut the external wiring. It is unclear whether he succeeded or was apprehended, and residents have called for increased vigilance.

In the Florencia de Mora district of Trujillo, Peru, two individuals dubbed the "Reyes del Bronce" were captured on video stealing water meters from several homes during the night. One suspect, hooded, removed the meters while the accomplice placed them in a yellow bag. The stolen meters are believed to be destined for the black market, and the perpetrators face up to six years in prison if convicted.
