Cable manufacturers expand production capacity in India
Major cable manufacturers are expanding their production capacities in India to meet rising demand for infrastructure, renewable energy, and digital connectivity.
APAR Industries has announced an accelerated capital expenditure program of INR 1,500 crore for FY2026-27. This investment targets cables, conductors, OPGW, and fiber solutions to support grid modernization, hyperscale data centers, and renewable energy projects. The company is also enhancing its telecom and optical-fiber capabilities, including specialized solutions for submarine and drone-based applications.
LAPP Group has inaugurated an expanded manufacturing facility in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, which is now the largest in its global production network. The expansion includes a new state-of-the-art unit dedicated to Power Low Voltage (LV) cable manufacturing. This facility aims to serve growing industrial, commercial, and renewable energy sectors as India increases spending on manufacturing and energy infrastructure.
