Cable & Wireless Panamá responds to forensic audit announcement

Cable & Wireless Panamá (CWP) has issued an official statement regarding a forensic audit initiated by Comptroller General Anel Flores. The company confirmed its full cooperation with authorities and its commitment to transparency throughout the process.

Addressing public concerns regarding the employment of Julio and Manuel Spiegel, CWP clarified that both professionals joined the organization in 2014 following the commercial acquisition of the Sonitel Group. The company emphasized that their incorporation was a result of a legal employer substitution during a corporate transaction involving over 350 specialists, rather than political or family-based hiring. CWP noted that this occurred five years prior to the current 2019-2024 constitutional term.
